Pixellot Brings AI Analysis to High School Sports in Washington State

The WIAA has announced a multi-year partnership with Pixellot to change athletic departments throughout the state of Washington. The partnership brings Pixellot’s exclusive video analysis, video exchange and video capture platform solutions to WIAA member schools.

“The WIAA is committed to working with innovative technology partners that bring value to member schools,” says Mick Hoffman, WIAA Executive Director. “Pixellot is a perfect example in the many ways that their technology solutions will allow our schools and coaches to be more efficient with their time and budgets, while providing advanced insights to help student-athletes and teams progress.”

The introduction of VidSwap, Pixellot’s game analysis and video breakdown platform, as well as the company’s automated production services, provides WIAA member schools with additional layers of data and video analysis. The state’s new end-to-end solution will provide coaches with tools featuring game breakdowns and analysis, a dedicated mobile app for practices, and individual team and player statistics. By bringing all these services together, the WIAA and Pixellot will create an easier workflow for coaches and administrators, giving them new insights through data and granting them time back to focus on student-athlete development.

“We are very excited to partner with the WIAA to help make Washington one of the leading states utilizing technology to improve coach and player performance,” says David Shapiro, President of North America at Pixellot. “Through our automatic video production, breakdown and analytics we look forward to saving coaches across the state both time and money.”

Pixellot’s AI-automated live production solutions are already installed in 336 venues throughout Washington. 192 high schools are streaming thousands of games every year on the NFHS Network, the leader in streaming live and on-demand US high school sports. This year the network will stream more than 15,000 live games in Washington to students, families and recruiters.

“Partnering with the WIAA is amazing! 15 years ago VidSwap started right here in Washington and to bring this back to every school, where it all started is fantastic!” says Alex Neist, VP Analytics at Pixellot.

With Pixellot’s video capture and analysis technologies, the WIAA will provide member schools with all the tools needed to power their athletic programs for years to come.
