GRUP MEDIAPRO Provided Audiovisual Broadcast Services for FC Barcelona – Real Madrid CF Women’s League Match

FC Barcelona Real Madrid met for the first time in the Liga F this season at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium on November 19th in a clash which made history with the biggest ever technical deployment for a women’s match in Spain thanks to the production services provided by GRUP MEDIAPRO. The match was broadcast live on DAZN.

GRUP MEDIAPRO in collaboration with Liga F set out to provide the best audiovisual experience ever seen in a women’s match in Spain with 12 broadcast cameras, which gave spectacular coverage of the game, benches and the crowd in the Lluís Companys Stadium. The GRUP MEDIAPRO OB van on site provided production services, the OB Van 89, one of the most advanced currently on the market, was also used a few weeks ago to produce the LaLiga “Clásico” de LALIGA. More than 50 staff were involved in the production.

The cameras used for the match coverage are market leading equipment and in addition, to the match set-up, 2 RF wireless cameras were also used, including a cinema quality camera and another which was focused throughout on the crowd, offering match atmosphere shots. Along with these cameras a polecam was used to travel over the goals, two robot cameras for the benches and a drone which provided spectacular images of stadium from the air.

The broadcast also featured a preview show which started 30 minutes before kick-off, which included the teams arriving, changing room shots and the warm-up. In addition, viewers also heard from the trainers in special pre-match interviews and at halftime there were quick chats with the players as they came off the pitch as well as post-match interviews.
