Live From NAB Show 2024: Canon's Staff Gives a Tour of New Lenses, Multi-Camera Control App, Enhanced Use of Free Viewpoint

Year after year, Canon has something new to show at their booth on the NAB Show floor. This year, the main headliner is the debut of the CJ27ex7.3B lens — the company’s first 2/3-inch portable lens. In addition, the crew is also showcasing their Multi-Camera Control App, which could be used for small-scale productions, as well as updates to their popular Canon Free Viewpoint.

A quartet of members from Canon — National Accounts Sales Director Rich Eilers; Senior Specialist, Technical Josh Stoner; Senior Technical Specialist Paul McAniff; and Fellow Tsuyoshi Wakazono — and ZeroSpace’s Senior System Engineer Evan Clark break down the details of these new products and dive deep into the enhancements to the immersive volumetric video platform, including its use at the 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
