SVG’s Sports Content Management Forum is back for its 15th year. To be held virtually on July 28 – 29, this event will include keynotes, panels, and presentations featuring media-asset–management (MAM) leaders from major sports broadcasters, leagues, teams, OTT outlets, esports organizations, and technology vendors.
Developed by the SCM Advisory Committee and its Chairman Tab Butler, this year’s agenda will address the current state of MAM and orchestration, storage and archiving, cloud and virtualization, AI and machine learning, and more.
Topics will include the growing need for hybrid on-prem/cloud and multi-cloud ecosystems, the future of archives in relation to tapeless and LTO technologies, how next-gen technologies could impact multi-cloud environments, and the role of AI and ML in automated metadata assignment and content discovery. A pair of tech focus panels will also dive into the current state of MAM/orchestration tools and on-prem/cloud storage technologies.

What is SVG Connect?
SVG Connect is an attendee directory that enables people who have registered for and logged in to attend an SVG event to send text-based messages to each other before, during, and after the event.
How do I participate in SVG Connect?
Participation in SVG Connect is automatically included as part of the registration process for every SVG event.
How does SVG Connect work?
SVG Connect is designed to bring SVG event attendees together by allowing them to message each other before, during, and after events. When you log in to the event page, you’ll see an SVG Connect button on the right-hand side of the page. Click on this and you can search the attendee directory by name, company, technology interest, or industry category to find people with relevant interests. Click on the Message button and you can start a private conversation with any registered attendee. The recipient will receive an email and an alert in their My Messages section of SVG Connect. When they respond, you’ll also receive an email and an alert in My Messages. Keeping SVG Connect open during an event alongside the event window means you won’t miss any messages that come in live.
What are the benefits of using SVG Connect?
SVG Connect is a great way to start conversations during online events. It is designed to bring attendees together, help them to develop new connections, and encourage some of the interaction that has been missing from virtual events.
Will my personal details be shared with other SVG Connect users?
No. Any communications you have in SVG Connect will remain within SVG Connect. The other party will not see your email details. You may choose to share your personal contact information with the other party; however, this is a personal choice and not a feature of SVG Connect.
Who can I contact if I need help?
Contact Andrew Lippe at [email protected] if you have any questions.
