Lay joins Front Porch Digital

Front Porch Digital has appointed Brian Lay as vice president of product management. Lay comes to this position with 35 years of experience working in the professional broadcast field as an engineer and within broadcast software development as an executive overseeing marketing and strategic development.

Lay joins Front Porch Digital having most recently served as director of
strategic marketing at Harris Automation Solutions, where he was
responsible for developing the overall strategy for the business including
its growth plan and objectives, product portfolio, business transformation, and marketing and communications efforts. Prior to his tenure at Harris, Lay was director of engineering and operations at Seattle’s KING-TV, a market-leading NBC affiliate station with two on-air channels and Northwest Cable News, a 24-hour news service, staffed by a team of over 60 engineers. Lay earlier held engineering roles at WHDH-TV in Boston and at WGBY-TV in Springfield, Mass.

Lay’s professional credentials include membership in the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and he served as manager of the Boston and Seattle chapters during his 20-year society membership.

As vice president of product management, Lay will be responsible for
engaging in customer, partner, and market analysis; establishing an ongoing process for gathering competitive intelligence; working in collaboration with the CTO and vice president of development to manage the life cycle for new products; and overseeing of product sales and marketing strategies. He will report directly to Knaisch.
